A major ChitChat update. Create realistic text and chat animations across a huge range of styles: iMessage, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Discord, Slack, Telegram, Snapchat, Tinder, Android, Retro Nokia, Pager, Terminal, VS Code, and cinematic movie captions. New in this release: tapback and emoji reactions rendered as real emoji art, drop-in profile pictures, animated typing indicators, read receipts, media cards with an optional retro terminal look, an in-panel live preview, and a docked Advanced window. Everything exports as native, editable After Effects layers.
ChitChat joins the toolkit. Build realistic text-message and chat animations, iMessage, WhatsApp, Discord and more, right from the panel. Open it from My Tools or grab it in one click.
Previews now load instantly, everywhere. All effect and transition previews ship inside the panel, so they play from your machine with no internet needed.
- Every preview video and thumbnail is now bundled locally: instant playback, works offline, works on restricted networks
- Transitions: left-click a card to add it at the start of your selected clip, right-click for the end
- New collapsible how-to guides on the Effects and Transitions tabs
- Clearer flow when a tool isn't installed yet: the panel points you to the Filmit Studio app and reminds you to restart your editor
- Tools now sit on their own cards, with better separation in Light mode
- Fixed the account badge overflowing on narrow panels
Thanks to the community for the feedback that shaped this release.
Filmit Studio comes to your editor. Every Filmit tool inside Premiere Pro and After Effects — one panel, one click.
- Launch any installed Filmit tool straight from the panel
- Browse effects and transitions with live video previews
- Apply an effect to your selected clip, or drop a transition on the cut, in one click
- Favorites, pinning, and search to keep your most-used tools on top
- Mini mode: dock it thin and it stays useful
- After installing, restart your editor and open Window → Extensions → Filmit Studio
Layout fix: the docked panel now always stacks vertically (simulation below the controls). The two-column wide view is exclusive to Advanced Mode.
Fixes a macOS issue where the panel could not connect to After Effects or Premiere Pro, which blocked sorting and folder actions. Windows installs were not affected. No action needed, the update applies automatically.
Transcribe in 28 languages, not just English. Pick your language in Settings (gear), or let Auto-detect work it out. English stays the default, so nothing changes unless you want it to.
Heads up: this upgrades the transcription model, so the first run downloads about 1.5 GB. It is a one-time download, it still runs entirely on your machine, and nothing is uploaded.
Insert now behaves like a real insert. Inserting a quote from All quotes pushes the whole timeline down and cuts cleanly through every track, instead of landing on top of what was already there.
Also: optional Section buffers, which leave a gap of empty timeline between sections when a cut is built, so you can see where each one starts (Settings, or per cut in the build bar). Plus tidier, Premiere-native scrollbars.

Sync 1.0.1 makes multicam effortless. Every camera angle of a take now stacks onto its own video track, lined up under one clean recording, even when a second or third camera has faint on-camera audio. Long interviews and full-day shoots are far more reliable: Sync reads the entire clip when matching, so takes that start rolling before the action still lock in. New in Settings, choose how confident a match has to be before Sync places it, from rock-solid only to everything. Analyze now runs without interrupting prompts, and the panel has cleaner scrollbars throughout.

First release! Gravity adds real 2D physics to After Effects: pick a playground scene (pinball, wrecking ball, block city, dominoes…) or snapshot your own comp, tune gravity presets from Moon to Jupiter, make objects bouncy, sticky, slingshot-launched or self-propelled, then bake the exact run you watched into pure Position + Rotation keyframes.
Sync launches for Premiere Pro. Drop in your camera bins and recorder files, and Sync matches every clip with timecode, dialogue, and waveform analysis, stacks your multicam angles into scene sequences, keeps every camera audio track, and builds a master timeline of the whole shoot. Everything runs on your machine, nothing is uploaded.
Sync launches for DaVinci Resolve. Drop in your Media Pool bins and recorder files, and Sync matches every clip with timecode, dialogue, and waveform analysis, stacks your multicam angles into scene timelines, keeps every camera audio track, and builds a master timeline of the whole shoot. Everything runs on your machine, nothing is uploaded.
New: untouchable bins. Lock any bin in the Layout tab (or list names in Settings) and Organizer leaves it completely alone. The Filmit layout now ships RoughCut, JumpCut and Sync as locked bins, plus A/B/C/D Cam sorting for camera originals and dedicated MOV and MP4 bins.
First DaVinci Resolve release — bin layout presets with the full editor, Sort by Type, Flatten Empty Bins, auto-sort new imports, watch folders with a pickable destination, and untouchable bins (JumpCut, RoughCut and Sync ship locked).
Transcription now sets up its audio engine automatically on first use (fixes "ffmpeg exit -2" on Mac), plus stability and workflow improvements: cleaner story board editing, frame-exact cuts, and quote library upgrades.
Synced to current davinci source.
DaVinci parity with Premiere. All-quotes now has a search box + a Tags filter row (search every quote, filter by section tag). All-quotes ⊕ Insert now stacks the quote on fresh video+audio tracks added above your current footage, dropped right at the playhead, so you can cut and slide it into place (Resolve scripting cannot overwrite in-place like Premiere).
Organizer now works in Premiere Pro as well as After Effects — one install, both apps. Plus watch folders, bin/folder auto-sort by media type, and Collect & Organize project export.
TextPilot now works inside Premiere Pro! This update adds a full TextPilot panel to Premiere (Window > Extensions > TextPilot after updating and restarting Premiere) alongside your existing After Effects panel. Scan every MOGRT, text layer, and caption in your project, then edit, find & replace, translate, spell-check, or bulk-update them — including one-click translation of entire caption tracks. Your existing TextPilot license covers both apps automatically. After Effects also gets two small improvements: a Jump button on translate results, and the Bulk view now updates instantly when you change the composition filter.
JumpCut for DaVinci Resolve — first customer release: silence removal with waveform preview, track selection, cut modes, and the Auto-Switcher (beta) for multicam, all built into new non-destructive timelines.
First release. RoughCut transcribes your interviews locally with Whisper, uses AI to assemble the strongest quotes into a story, and builds a real, editable multi-source sequence you can keep cutting. Works with your own Anthropic or OpenAI key, or with no key required.

JumpCut 2.0 — Auto-Switcher (Beta) + smarter, safer cutting.
NEW: Video mode — automatic multicam switching (Beta). Assign each camera to its speaker's audio track and JumpCut cuts to whoever's talking: analyze, preview the switch plan on a colored timeline lane, then apply. Includes Min Shot pacing, Noise Floor with live preview, Cutaway Speaker, per-camera Ignore for overlay/graphic tracks, and an optional Hide Jump Cuts mode that cuts away to another angle instead of showing a visible jump.
NEW: Analyzes any footage — camera files with embedded audio (including 2GB+ recordings from Riverside and similar) now analyze reliably via a one-time audio-engine download.
IMPROVED: Advanced mode is now the default cut mode — razor, delete, and close-gap with verified results on every kind of timeline. Fast mode remains available and now checks its own work: if your footage leaves gaps, it tells you and points you to Advanced.
IMPROVED: Close Gap is verified after every run (and respects intentional gaps on overlay/banner tracks). Clear guidance if anything needs a manual finish.
IMPROVED: The "open a sequence" screen now dismisses automatically, live progress during speaker analysis, and clearer stay-in-Premiere guidance during Advanced cuts.

GridMaker Advanced just got its biggest update ever.
Six brand new layout modes:
- Charts: pie, donut, bar, funnel, sunburst, and line charts from your footage
- Fracture: shatter clips into sharp glass shards
- Pack: tightly packed circles of clips
- Jigsaw: interlocking puzzle pieces
- Text Fill: pour footage straight into your letters, using your full installed font library
- Camera: fly a virtual camera across a grid of clips, zooming and panning from shot to shot
Plus a lot more to play with:
- Composer: open it on any mode for a shelf of premade looks and a one click Randomizer
- Single Image: slice one photo across every piece so it reassembles into the whole picture and stays locked through the move
- Faster renders: switch off Precomp Boxes to build lightweight flat layers instead of precomps
- Plenty of polish on timing, easing, corners, and the live preview
Same workflow you love: design it in a live preview that matches the render, then build it in After Effects with one click. Enjoy!

Slideshow is here.
Turn a folder of photos or clips into a polished animated slideshow, built right in After Effects. Start from a template or your own selected layers, set your aspect ratio and resolution, dial in motion, transitions and timing, then create a fully keyframed comp with every slide precomped and ready to customize.
This first release includes:
- Templates: Classic, Modern, Energetic, Cinematic, Reel, Pop, Bounce, Drift
- Aspect ratio and resolution presets, including HD, 4K and cinematic ratios
- Motion with adjustable amount
- Transitions: cut, cross dissolve, slide, zoom punch, blur dissolve and wipe mattes
- Per slide and total timing controls
- Image fit options: fill frame, fit frame, no scaling
- Build from a folder of media, or match your selected layers in a composition

TextPilot 1.2.0. A major update for managing and translating text.
New in Translate
- Export every language to CSV, Excel, or TXT so a native speaker can review them, then import the edits back in.
- A do-not-translate glossary keeps brand and product names untouched during translation.
New in Search and Spell
- Search now lists every matching layer as a card you can jump straight to.
- Spell check lets you jump to a flagged layer, apply fixes one at a time, and add words to your own dictionary so they stop being flagged.
New in Fonts and Export
- Replace a font by picking from your full installed font library, or by typing the exact name.
- Export and import bulk text and translations as CSV, Excel, JSON, or TXT.
Fixed
- The Original button in Translate now reliably switches back to your source language.

GridMaker 2.1 introduces Tessellate, a brand new way to build in Advanced Mode.
Fill your frame with interlocking tiles in hexagon, triangle, diamond, or square layouts, then drop your footage into every tile. Set the density, gap, and corner rounding, turn individual tiles into spacers or remove them, and on square layouts drag any tile to resize it while the rest reflow around it.
Animate the whole pattern in and out with the styles you already know, including fade, scale, pop, slide, flip, and 3D zoom. Set the total in and out time on the timeline and the tiles auto stagger to fit.
Create a new comp or apply the pattern straight to your selected footage, then drive the finished tessellation from one control null with live Gap and Corners sliders.
This release also fixes fade in and fade out so they write clean, correct keyframes everywhere in Advanced Mode, makes a slide out exit toward the same edge it slid in from, and adds preview and timing polish so the live preview matches the rendered result even more closely.
Everything from classic GridMaker and the rest of Advanced Mode still works exactly as before.
GridMaker 2.0.2
Fixes and polish across Advanced Mode and the classic panel.
Advanced Mode now keeps your per-box and per-corner rounding when you create a comp or apply to a selection, and your custom rounding is saved when you close and reopen the panel.
The Path designer preview stays perfectly to scale as you resize the panel, so the boxes always reflect their true size.
The Flat preview now plays continuously until you pause or scrub, and undo steps back through corner rounding one corner at a time.
In the classic panel, generated precomps now sort neatly into a GridMaker folder in your project.
GridMaker 2.0.1
A few fixes and polish for Advanced Mode.
Apply to Selection in 3D Spatial and Path now builds the GridMaker Control null with its full set of sliders, so you can keep fine tuning your arrangement after applying it to your footage.
Tile precomps now sort automatically into a GridMaker folder in your project, however you build them (new comp, apply to selection, or select layers).
The Path designer preview now stays exactly to scale when you resize the panel, so the boxes always reflect their true size.
GridMaker 2.0 introduces Advanced Mode, a full visual designer alongside the one-click grids you already know.
Build three ways: Flat for classic and custom grids, 3D Spatial to arrange your boxes in 3D as a sphere, ring, cylinder, or helix with a camera you can orbit and zoom, and Path to lay them along any shape.
Add built-in animation with in and out styles, an easing curve editor, and a playhead timeline, then Create New Comp or Apply to Selection to bring in your footage.
Drive the whole grid from one controller, save your layouts as presets, or start from a ready-made Composer layout.
Everything from classic GridMaker still works exactly as before.
Big update! Add logos, pictures, and videos to your credits, including several side by side in one row, all auto-sized to the frame. New precomp options drop your media into a ready-to-fill 16:9 or 9:16 precomp, and videos time themselves to the full scroll automatically. Rename credit projects right from the project bar, pick any font in your library per part of the credits, fine-tune spacing with live sliders, and resize the live preview in Advanced Mode. Plus a built-in Help tab and font checker.
Credits is here! Build professional credit rolls inside After Effects: pick from 7 templates, watch a live preview that matches your final render exactly, and generate scrolling or card-style credits in one click. Import your credit list from Excel or CSV, use any font in your library, fine-tune spacing with live sliders, and open Advanced Mode for a large two-pane editor with an always-on preview. Includes 5 example projects to explore.

JSXBIN-compiled production release. Same functionality as 1.0.18.
Production release — promoted from beta. Track-matte aware visibility, native solo, image/video/audio layer types, project-wide find/replace, and many bug fixes. Visible to all subscribers.
Solo now toggles per-type and stacks. Shift-click a type to solo it; shift-click again to unsolo. Shift-click a different type to add it to the solo set. Soloed types get a yellow border so you can see what's active at a glance.
Solo now uses AE's native solo (the small dot column) instead of toggling the eyeball — non-destructive. Show All / Hide All clear all solos so you can return to a normal state in one click.
Mac boot fix — JSX bridge now loads reliably on macOS where the chained loader could race or come back empty. Added a one-shot retry + clearer diagnostic banner if it ever fails again.
Packaging fix — installs cleanly on macOS now (1.0.13 zip used Windows-style backslash paths that broke yauzl extraction on Mac). Same features as 1.0.13.
Big tune-up: Layers tab visibility, lock, and sort toggles now work; added Image / Video / Audio layer types; Labels apply to your current selection; Find/Replace now sweeps the whole project (items + layer names everywhere). Find and Comps tabs trimmed for now.

JumpCut is officially out of beta! Advanced mode now cuts, deletes, and closes gaps cleanly across your entire sequence in one run on both Mac and Windows. Includes a clear 'stay in Premiere' heads-up, track alignment check, and a finished-popup with your run stats.
Finished popup: Advanced mode now shows a clear completion dialog when it's done — summary of cuts made, clips removed, gaps closed, plus the undo shortcut if you want to roll back.
UX safety: confirm dialog for Advanced mode now asks you to stay in Premiere while it runs (grab a coffee!). First-time Mac users get a one-time permission heads-up so the OS prompt isn't a surprise.
Windows Advanced mode: gap-close step now closes the whole sequence in one clean pass — no more 1-frame offset artifacts on longer cuts. Final output now matches Mac exactly.
Windows Advanced mode now matches Mac: visible left-to-right cuts, then a clean delete, then a right-to-left gap collapse — you can watch the pipeline work through your sequence one step at a time.
Windows Advanced mode: Delete-only and Cut+Delete+CloseGap now work reliably across every track, visible one region at a time.
Windows Advanced mode: smoother, more reliable pipeline — cuts land one-at-a-time with live progress ('Razor 12 / 47'), so you can see exactly where you are in the run.
Windows Advanced mode: three visible phases with clear status — 'Phase 1/3: Placing razors', 'Phase 2/3: Deleting silence clips', 'Phase 3/3: Closing gaps' — mirroring the Mac experience. Fixes Delete-only runs appearing to do nothing, and Advanced runs looking identical to Fast.
Windows Advanced mode: genuine three-phase pipeline (cut → delete → close gap) with separate counts in the result ('N razors, M clips removed, K gaps closed'). Cut Mode panel simplified to just Delete and Close Gap toggles.
New: Cut Mode panel with Delete and Close Gap toggles — run just the parts of the pipeline you need. Windows adds Fast / Advanced tabs to pick between a one-shot cut and a step-by-step pipeline.
Mac: full pipeline now finishes itself — cuts, deletes, and then closes all gaps automatically in one run. No more manual Close Gap step.
Mac: silence clips are now removed automatically after the cut pass — gaps remain in place, all your effects, keyframes, and transforms on surviving clips stay untouched. Success toast now reports cuts + clips removed + regions matched.
Mac: new cut engine — fast, reliable cuts across every track with full effect preservation (crops, transforms, keyframes intact). Pre-flight check asks for macOS Accessibility permission on first run with a clear guide to System Settings. Fixes the v1.0.27 slow-run issue on long timelines. Windows path untouched.
Mac: Cut-only mode — places cuts at each silence boundary without deleting anything, so you can review and decide what to remove. Effects preserved on surviving clips. Windows unchanged.
Mac: added a working safety net — when the preferred cut path can't go through on the latest Premiere Pro release, the plugin now falls back to a proven cut method instead of aborting. Diagnostics now write line-by-line so aborts leave a complete record. Windows unchanged.
Mac: wider compatibility — expanded the set of cut strategies tried when the default path silently no-ops on newer Premiere Pro Mac builds. Logs the exact Premiere version at startup so support can help faster. Pre-flight aborts cleanly if nothing works. Windows unchanged.
Mac: switched to Premiere's native split mechanism — preserves effects on both halves of every cut. Leaves gaps you can close with Sequence > Close Gap. Aborts cleanly if nothing works on this Mac build — zero damage. Windows unchanged.
Mac: surgical cut engine — only clips at each cut boundary are touched, so if a single cut fails the rest of the timeline stays intact. Timing buffers added throughout so Premiere settles between edits. Slower than Windows by design — accuracy first. Windows unchanged.
Mac: ground-up cut engine using only stable, documented Premiere APIs. Each track is rebuilt independently so every track stays aligned. Pre-flight runs a safe dry-run on one clip before touching the rest — aborts cleanly if anything fails. Windows unchanged.
Mac: switched from per-track cuts to sequence-wide cuts for better compatibility. Improved diagnostics. Windows unchanged.
Mac: new cut strategy — cuts every track at silence boundaries and ripples the middles out per-track so every track stays aligned. Pre-flight verifies it works on the first cut before proceeding. Windows unchanged.
Mac: probes for a clean cut path on the first cut and uses whichever strategy actually works, falling back to per-track cutting if needed. Slower but reliable. Windows unchanged.
Mac: cleaner cuts — removes content without rippling, leaving uniform gaps so you can Close Gap once. Every API call is now verified to catch silent no-ops. Windows unchanged.
Mac: fixes the v1.0.17 destruction bug — Mac treats track-isolation flags opposite to Windows, now handled correctly. Per-cut verification catches drift, and a pre-flight probe aborts cleanly before any damage is done. Windows unchanged.
Mac: safety pre-flight — runs one test cut first and aborts immediately if anything other than the targeted track changed. Worst case is one undoable cut. Windows unchanged.
Mac: two-phase cut — first cuts every silence boundary, then removes the middles, leaving gaps to close together with Sequence > Close Gap. Windows unchanged.
Mac: new cut approach that ripples reliably on multi-track sequences — replaces the Mac path that was leaving stray frames on some tracks. Windows unchanged.
Mac multi-track gap fix: after every cut pass, the plugin now scans each track and closes any gaps Premiere left behind on Mac. Windows runs the same pass but finds nothing to fix.
Multi-track gap fix: sync-locks every track before cutting so every track ripples together. Fixes misalignment on sequences with multiple linked video/audio tracks.
Mac gap fix: cuts now land on exact frame boundaries — removes the one-tick nudge from v1.0.9/1.0.10 that was creating tiny gaps at every cut.
Diagnostics: fixed the Diag error toast and added per-cut logging to the diag file.
Mac fix: adjusts cut in-point to compensate for a Premiere Pro Mac edit-boundary difference.
Diagnostics: writes a diagnostic report directly to Desktop when enabled.
Diagnostics: saves a diagnostic report to Desktop after cuts for Mac gap debugging.
Reverted the frame-offset workaround; Mac now uses identical cut logic to Windows. Added diagnostic logging for ongoing Mac gap investigation.
Mac: compensates for a one-frame video offset so video aligns with audio after cuts. Windows unchanged.
Mac: fix one-frame video/audio drift with tighter frame-snapping. Windows unchanged.
Mac: new cut path for gap-free cuts on multi-track sequences. Windows unchanged.
Mac: three-step cut method replaces the old single-step — fixes one-frame gaps on Mac. Windows unchanged.
Fixes Mac one-frame video gaps, auto-increments sequence names on each run, and reliably clones into a JumpCut folder so originals stay untouched.

Fixes one-frame video misalignment by using higher-precision timing internally.
Two-pass cut: first cuts every boundary, then removes the silence — leaves gaps open so you can verify cut positions before closing them.
Fix one-frame video gap: cuts are now snapped to exact frame boundaries for precise alignment.
New cut approach: splits at silence boundaries then ripple-removes the middle — frame-snapped for video alignment.
Test build: removes silence but leaves gaps open — close gaps manually to verify cut positions.
Test build: simple cut-and-remove with no gap closing — manually close gaps to verify.
Fix cuts: left-to-right cut order with offset tracking. Refresh clears all keyframes. UI polish on the line-toggle buttons.
Fix gaps: new remove-then-close-gaps flow. Setting lines on the waveform (toggle per setting). All keyframes draggable on their lines. Saves into a JumpCut folder so originals stay untouched.
Keyframes on the threshold line with bend/interpolate, draggable in both value and time. Clear-keyframes confirmation dialog. Track retargeting before each cut to fix residual gaps.
Fix: track-specific analysis now reads correct audio slice using clip in-points, track checklist replaces broken solo detection, resizable waveform preview
Fix: solo/mute tracks now respected during analysis, multi-track waveform compositing uses proper power summation, ripple delete targets all tracks to prevent gaps
Presets system (save/load detection settings), undo/redo for keyframes, clear all keyframes button, draggable playhead scrubbing, AE-style keyframe navigation, extended threshold range (-96 dB), track alignment warning, muted track skip
Keyframe system for detection settings, prominent refresh button with confirm dialog, compressed audio format support (MP3/AAC/M4A), multi-track waveform compositing fix
Refresh button, backup sequence fix, track alignment guardrail, dynamic track dropdown, draggable threshold on waveform
