Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

These Terms apply to all users, whether you have a free account, a paid subscription, or are simply browsing the website.

Account Terms

To use Filmit Studio and install plugins, you need to create an account with a valid email address and password. Here's what we expect:

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• One account per person. Shared accounts are not permitted.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
• If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at hello@filmit.io.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions & Billing

Filmit.io offers paid subscription plans that unlock access to our full suite of plugins and tools. Here's how it works:

• Pricing: Subscriptions are available at $20/month or $192/year (equivalent to $16/month). Prices are in USD.
• Merchant of Record: All payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy handles billing, tax collection, and payment processing on our behalf. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's terms of service.
• Recurring billing: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel beforehand.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you retain access to the Service through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Price changes: We may adjust pricing from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
• Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new subscriptions, no questions asked. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, branding, and materials that make up the Service — including Filmit Studio, our CEP plugins, the website, documentation, and course content — are owned by Filmit.io and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. The use of the Filmit Studio desktop application and its plugins is also governed by our End User License Agreement (EULA).

• Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our tools for your own creative work.
• You may use our plugins in commercial projects (client work, YouTube videos, films, etc.). The work you create with our tools is yours.
• You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from our software or assets.
• You may not share your account or subscription access with others.

User Content

If you post content through our services — such as forum posts, community discussions, bug reports, or feature requests — you retain ownership of that content. However, by posting it, you grant Filmit.io a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service (for example, to display your forum post to other users).

You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

Acceptable Use

We want everyone to have a good experience. When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, our servers, or any systems connected to the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without our written permission.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or make our tools available to anyone outside your own account.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any license verification, authentication, or access controls.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or service.

Third-Party Services

Filmit.io integrates with and relies on several third-party services to operate. These include, but are not limited to:

• LemonSqueezy for payment processing and subscription management.
• Supabase for authentication and data storage.
• Adobe — our plugins run inside Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe Inc.
• Discord for community communication.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee perfection.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filmit.io disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Our plugins interact with third-party software (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro) that we do not control. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every version, configuration, or operating system setup.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Filmit.io and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@filmit.io.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include (but are not limited to) violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or fraudulent activity.

Upon termination:

• Your license to use our tools is immediately revoked.
• You must uninstall all Filmit.io plugins and delete any copies of Filmit Studio.
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the Filmit Studio application.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
