Rebuilding the basics
Two keyframes, easy ease, into the graph editor, then do it again for the Out. On every title, in every project.
Guessing from a name
A preset called "Smooth Reveal 04" could be anything. You apply it, scrub, undo, and try the next one.
Stuck with what it did
The preset looks close, but the timing is wrong and the settings are buried somewhere you can't reach.
Type that moves the way you pictured it.
47 text presets across 17 families, expanded into more than 130 ready-made cards for each unit: every direction, reversed or random order, with Overshoot and Bounce where the preset moves. Pick characters, words, or lines and apply.
- Animate by character, word, or line
- In, Out, or both, with a different direction for each
- Directions from any edge, diagonals included
- Forward, reverse, or random order
- Smooth, Linear, Ease In, Ease Out, Overshoot, Bounce, or Elastic
- Durations from a quarter second to four seconds
- Wild scatter, per-character 3D, Depth of Field, and Fly from Camera
- Typewriter and Decode for the classics
Any layer, in and out, in both apps.
45+ motion presets for logos, images, shapes, and clips, mixed from nine ingredients: Fade, Slide, Drift, Scale Up, Grow, Shrink, Spin, Twist, and Tilt. Slides always start fully off screen, whatever the frame size.
- Fade, Slide, Scale, Rotate, and Combos, each with its own cards
- Overshoot, Bounce, and Elastic cards, plus fast and slow versions
- Slides clear the frame even when the layer is tilted or scaled
- 3D presets in After Effects: Flip 3D, Card Spin 3D, Dolly In, Dolly Through
- Motion blur in Premiere Pro, with your own shutter angle
- The same cards and timing styles in both apps
Expressions you can watch before you apply.
A library of 100+ expressions across 17 categories, from loops and wiggles to physics, linking, and layout. Every card previews the expression moving, and the detail view follows your settings as you change them.
- Loop, Motion, Physics, Link, Time, Random, and more
- Set each parameter with a slider before you apply
- Choose the property, or let EXpress detect it
- Apply to the selected layers, or remove the expression again
- Favourite the ones you reach for every day
Controls in Effect Controls
Every value the preset uses sits in Effect Controls with a clear name. Retime the whole animation by moving two keyframes on one slider, and move the layer whenever you like: the animation follows it.
Plain keyframes you already know
Motion presets land as ordinary keyframes on Position, Scale, Rotation, and Opacity, shaped to match the card you picked. Turn on motion blur and they go on a Transform effect with your shutter angle instead.
In After Effects the setup is native, so your project opens and renders on any machine, with or without EXpress installed.

Favorites
In After Effects, save a text or motion preset with its direction, style, order, and duration exactly as you set them, and heart the expressions you use most.
Previews your way
Make cards bigger or smaller, choose how many play at once, and preview motion and expressions with the Filmit logo, an emoji, or your own image.
Search every tab
Find a preset or expression by name, then narrow it with the category rail down the side.
One install, both apps
Install EXpress once from Filmit Studio and it appears in After Effects and Premiere Pro, each with the libraries that app supports.
Frame one is empty
An In starts from nothing on its first frame and an Out ends on an empty frame, so cuts land clean every time.
Open EXpress
Launch it from the Filmit Studio panel in After Effects or Premiere Pro.
Select your layers
A text layer for text presets, or any layer or clip for motion presets and expressions.
Pick a card
Click to open the options, or right-click to apply the In straight away.
Fine-tune
Retime or adjust in Effect Controls, or edit the keyframes in Premiere Pro.
After Effects gets all three libraries: text presets, motion presets including 3D, and expressions. Premiere Pro gets the motion presets, with optional motion blur. One install from Filmit Studio covers both apps.
Yes. In After Effects every value lives in Effect Controls with a clear name, and you retime the animation by moving two keyframes on one slider. In Premiere Pro the preset becomes ordinary keyframes you can edit like any others.
Yes. Everything EXpress sets up is native to After Effects or Premiere Pro, so a project opens and renders the same on a machine without EXpress installed.
Yes, in After Effects. Motion presets animate from wherever the layer is, so reposition it and the animation follows, still starting fully off screen for slides.
Yes. Choose Both and set a separate direction for the In and the Out. The In starts at the layer's in point and the Out lands on its out point, so the animation fits the layer however long it is.
Free: 7 text presets, 5 motion presets, and 25 expressions, in the Smooth, Linear, Ease In, and Ease Out styles. A Filmit Studio subscription unlocks every preset and expression, plus Overshoot, Bounce, and Elastic on all of them.
Yes. Leave motion blur on and EXpress animates through a Transform effect with the shutter angle you set in Settings, 180 degrees by default. Turn it off to animate the clip's own Motion properties.
Yes. The full EXpress library is included with your Filmit Studio subscription at $20/month, along with every other Filmit tool, effect, transition, and course. Try it with a 7-day free trial.
