Troubleshooting Studio
Most issues are quick to fix. Work through the relevant section below, and contact us if anything is still stuck.
Studio will not sign in
- Check your email and password are correct. Use forgot password if needed.
- Confirm your subscription is active in billing settings.
- Make sure you are connected to the internet. Sign-in needs a connection.
Studio will not update
- Restart Studio. Updates install on restart.
- If it still will not update, download the latest version from filmit.io and install over the top. Your settings are kept.
A plugin will not install
- Make sure your editing app is closed, then try the install again.
- Confirm you have enough free disk space and that the extensions folder is writable.
- Restart Studio and retry.
A plugin installed but does not appear
This is almost always a restart or a Window menu issue. See Panel not showing?.
A plugin shows as locked
