The in-editor panel

The Filmit Studio panel puts your whole toolkit inside Premiere Pro and After Effects. It installs automatically alongside your tools, so if you have Filmit Studio set up, you already have it.

Open the panel

Restart your editor once after Filmit Studio finishes installing.
In Premiere Pro or After Effects, open Window → Extensions → Filmit Studio.
Dock it wherever you like. It behaves like any native panel.

The Tools tab

Every installed Filmit tool is listed with a one-line description. Click a tool (or its Open button) and it opens, docked and ready. Tools you have not installed yet appear dimmed, and Filmit Studio handles installing them.

The Effects tab

Every Filmit FX effect plays a live video preview in the grid.

Apply: select a clip (Premiere Pro) or a layer (After Effects), then click Apply. The effect lands on your selection.
Nothing selected? The panel tells you what to select instead of failing silently.
Hover an effect to see its preview loop at full size.

The Transitions tab (Premiere Pro)

Filmit Transitions with live previews, applied where the cut is:

Select a clip, then choose whether the transition lands on its end or its start.
Transitions are for edit timelines, so this tab appears in Premiere Pro only. In After Effects the panel focuses on tools and effects.

Favorites, pinning, and search

Star any effect or transition to build your own favorites shelf.
Pin the tools you use daily and they stay at the top of the list.
The search box covers tools, effects, and transitions at once.

Mini mode

Dock the panel thin and it collapses into a compact strip that still launches every tool. Use the button in the panel footer to switch manually, or just resize the dock and it adapts on its own.

Updates

The panel updates itself through Filmit Studio, like every other tool. New tools, effects, and transitions appear in the panel automatically as they ship.

DaVinci Resolve

Resolve does not use this panel. Your Filmit tools open as their own apps instead: Workspace → Workflow Integration Plugins, then pick a tool. See Compatibility and other apps.
