Filmit Teams is live. One subscription now covers your whole crew: pick a seat count from 2 to 10, pay one invoice, and every teammate gets their own seat with everything we make, assigned by email from an admin dashboard. Seats are 10% off solo pricing, at $14.40 per seat per month or $172.80 per seat billed yearly.
This is the most-requested thing we have ever not-had, and as of this weekend the first real teams are already running on it. Here is what shipped, how it works, and the honest details.
What is Filmit Teams?
It is the whole Filmit suite, per person, managed centrally. Every seat gets everything an individual Annual subscriber gets: every plugin we make for After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, the full effects and transitions libraries, every future release, and two devices per seat. The difference is who holds the keys: one admin buys the seats, assigns them by email, and gets one invoice for the lot.
Until now, a studio putting five editors on Filmit meant five separate accounts, five cards, five renewals. That was fine at two people and silly at five. Teams collapses it to one decision.
How does seat management work?
You become your team's admin at checkout: pick a seat count (2 to 10), pay, and your dashboard opens. From there:
Each teammate gets their own license key by email. If they do not have a Filmit account yet, the seat links up the moment they sign up with that address.
Someone leaves the project, the seat moves to their replacement. Seats belong to the team, not the person.
Added seats bill to the card on file, prorated to your billing period, with no new checkout. Removed seats become credit on the next invoice.
The team is one line item for your bookkeeping, and team accounts get priority support.
What does it cost?
Seats are 10% off individual pricing: $14.40 per seat per month, or $172.80 per seat billed yearly. There is no trial on Teams itself and you can cancel anytime; if you want to evaluate the tools first, the individual plan's 7-day free trial is the try-before-you-buy path, and you can start a team once you have seen enough.
All pricing is on the pricing page, where the Teams card has a seat slider so you can see your exact total before you start.
What about bigger crews?
Alongside Teams there is now an Enterprise tier for studios and larger operations: 10+ seats with volume pricing, SSO and SAML sign-in, custom invoicing and purchase orders, a dedicated support contact, onboarding for your whole crew, and custom plugin and workflow development built around your pipeline. Enterprise is not self-serve; it starts with a conversation from the pricing page.
Why we built it
Because the requests kept coming from the same three places: small studios tired of expensing five separate subscriptions, agencies that need seats to follow projects rather than people, and schools putting a lab of students on the same toolkit. The pattern in every request was identical: the tools were fine, the accounting was not.
So Teams is deliberately boring in the best way. No new tools, no team-only features held hostage, no per-feature upsells. It is the same suite everyone gets, with the administration problem solved and a 10% discount for bringing your crew. If your team edits together, this is the version of Filmit built for how you actually buy software.
