Street Baron
Street Baron LUTs
Power-Inspired Modern Crime Drama
Inspired by Power
Filmic contrast, balanced tones, cinema-ready grade.
The Look
Street Baron is the modern-prestige crime grade. Built around the visual vocabulary that Power established for contemporary urban-crime TV: filmic contrast on club and penthouse interiors, controlled saturation on character work, and the kind of polish that distinguishes prestige-TV crime drama from network procedural. Built for projects that need to read as expensive serialized crime narrative.
Inspired by Power
Power (2014-2020) was Courtney Kemp's Starz drama, with multiple DPs across six seasons. The grade maintained a remarkably consistent visual identity: filmic-cinema contrast applied to TV-budget production, warm club interiors against cool exterior city work, the visual delineation between Ghost's two worlds (legitimate businessman, drug kingpin). The look influenced subsequent prestige-TV crime drama.
Best For
- Prestige-TV style crime drama
- Urban professional/criminal duality narrative
- Music videos with luxury-crime or club direction
- Lifestyle content for urban premium brands
- Documentary covering organized crime or urban professional subjects
Color Notes
Club and penthouse interior footage develops the strongest response. Natural daylight work will fight the polished vocabulary. The filmic-contrast variants are the genre defaults; the balanced-tones variants suit dialogue scenes.
