Savanna Crown
Savanna Crown LUTs
The Lion King-Inspired Sunlit Savanna
Inspired by The Lion King
Oceanic teals, warm sunlit skins, adventure-cinema palette.
The Look
Savanna Crown is the sunlit-landscape grade. Built for warm-orange African plains, sunset silhouettes, and grass-and-acacia exteriors. The pack pushes golden-hour warmth without over-saturating, holds shadows with detail, and protects bright sky from clipping. Built for any project with significant savanna, prairie, or warm-grassland content.
Inspired by The Lion King
Jon Favreau's The Lion King (2019) was a photoreal CG production with cinematography by Caleb Deschanel. The grade leaned into authentic-looking East African golden-hour vocabulary: deep orange exteriors, silhouette sunsets, the sun-baked sienna of mid-day grasslands. The look has rippled into wildlife documentary and African-set narrative work.
Best For
- Wildlife and nature documentary
- Travel content from East Africa, Australia, or American Plains
- Music videos with sunset or golden-hour direction
- Commercial work for outdoor and adventure brands
- Narrative work set in grassland or savanna environments
Color Notes
These LUTs assume golden-hour or mid-day exterior footage. Overcast or shaded sources won't develop the warmth the grade promises. The oceanic-teals variants here are repurposed for skyline; the warm-sunlit variants are the landscape default.
