Built around The Notebook's warm-Carolinas vocabulary: golden-hour summer exteriors, soft interior tungsten, and the kind of contrast that suits both tender dialogue and sweeping moments. Built for romance narrative where the visual register needs to lean into nostalgia and warmth without crossing into saccharine.

Inspired by The Notebook

The Notebook (2004) was Nick Cassavetes and DP Robert Fraisse's romantic drama. The grade leaned into Southern golden-hour exteriors and warm interior practicals, creating a visual vocabulary that has influenced every subsequent prestige-romance film: Dear John, The Vow, The Best of Me.

Color Notes
