Revenge Dojo II
Revenge Dojo II LUTs
Kill Bill: Vol. 2-Inspired Desert Revenge
Inspired by Kill Bill: Vol. 2
Pop-saturated primaries, high-contrast reds, pulp cinema.
The Look
Revenge Dojo II shifts toward Kill Bill: Vol. 2's desert and dust vocabulary, while keeping the franchise's theatrical-saturation foundation. Where Vol. 1 was Tokyo-blue and yakuza-red, Vol. 2 pulls warmer: Texas desert, Mexican churches, the buried-alive sequences. The pack handles desert exteriors and warm-tungsten interiors with the same saturation energy as the original.
Inspired by Kill Bill: Vol. 2
Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) shifted Tarantino's revenge narrative to American and Mexican settings. DP Robert Richardson kept the theatrical saturation of Vol. 1 but moved the palette into warm desert tones, creating a visual companion piece that maintained the franchise look while distinguishing the two films.
Best For
- Multi-act revenge narrative needing visual evolution
- Desert-set theatrical work
- Music videos with grindhouse or revisionist Western direction
- Action sequences with saturated period vocabulary
- Anything where Revenge Dojo alone feels too Tokyo-coded
Color Notes
Designed to layer with Revenge Dojo across multi-act revenge cinema. The pop-saturated-primaries variants handle interior set pieces; the high-contrast-reds variants suit climactic desert sequences.
