Lion-Inspired Cross-Continental Epic
Inspired by Lion
Earthy greens, weathered contrast, epic-landscape grade.
The Look
Mumbai Search is the cross-continental epic grade. Built around Lion's two-environment visual vocabulary: warm-saturated Indian exteriors against cool-controlled Australian sequences. The pack handles both ends of the contrast: dusty Indian street and railway footage, plus the cool grey-blue Tasmanian/Australian environmental work that grounds the second half.
Inspired by Lion
Lion (2016) was Garth Davis and DP Greig Fraser's adaptation of Saroo Brierley's memoir. The grade used location-distinct visual vocabulary to anchor the dual-timeline structure: warm India for the childhood sequences, cool Australia for the adult adoptive-family material. The look established a contemporary template for cross-continental adoption and identity narrative.
Best For
- Cross-continental and adoption narrative
- India-set or Indian-diaspora content
- Travel content covering India, Australia, or extended international routes
- Music videos with journey or identity direction
- Documentary covering migration, adoption, or international subjects
Color Notes
The two-tone vocabulary needs both environments. Single-location work won't develop the contrast. The earthy-greens variants suit India sequences; the weathered-contrast variants handle Australian or alternate locations.
