Inspired by The Green Mile

The Green Mile (1999) was Frank Darabont and DP David Tattersall's Stephen King adaptation. The grade balanced period 30s warmth with the slightly heightened magical-realist register the source story required: warmer than naturalistic period work, softer than pure period drama. The look has influenced subsequent magical-realist prison and institutional narrative.
