Waterman-Inspired Oceanic Adventure
Inspired by Waterman
Oceanic teals, warm sunlit skins, adventure-cinema palette.
The Look
Aqua Drift is the surf and ocean-adventure grade. Oceanic teals on water, warm sunlit skin tones on subjects, and the kind of mid-saturation that makes a paddleboard look heroic. The pack handles beach footage, surf and dive content, sailing exteriors, and any project where ocean is the dominant visual.
Inspired by Waterman
Waterman (2021) was the Duke Kahanamoku surf-history documentary that established a clean modern vocabulary for surf cinema: saturated ocean blues, warm-rolled-off highlights on water, and protected skin tones across the diverse subjects of the sport. The look references decades of surf cinema from The Endless Summer forward.
Best For
- Surf, dive, and oceanic adventure content
- Travel content from coastal or island locations
- Sailing, boating, and watersport coverage
- Music videos with summer or oceanic direction
- Lifestyle content for beach or surf brands
Color Notes
Cool overcast water can over-saturate. Pull saturation 10 percent if oceans turn turquoise. The oceanic-teals variants suit wide ocean shots; the warm-sunlit variants protect character work.
