The Look

The 90s Crime Diner pack revives a very specific visual era: tungsten-soaked interiors, saturated reds, midtones that warm rather than cool, and contrast that sits closer to film print than to digital. Think of the dance scene in Jackrabbit Slim's, the opening diner standoff, the warmth of Marsellus's office. Skin tones lean amber, blacks lift slightly off true black to mimic the silver retention of a 35mm print, and saturation cranks where film stocks of the era would have naturally pushed it.

Inspired by Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction (1994) was shot by Andrzej Sekuła on a relatively modest budget, which forced Tarantino's team to lean hard on practical tungsten and neon for color. The result was a film whose color signature became inseparable from 90s indie crime cinema. The diner reds, the gold light spilling off Jackrabbit Slim's booths, the saturated cherry of Mia's lipstick: these are all baked into a single coherent grade that defined an era.
